Twelve
Bars from Mars is a five piece jazz band. The imaginative and
varied play-list includes tasteful renditions of vocal jazz standards
and instrumentals such as ‘Fly Me to the Moon’, ‘Angel
Eyes’, ‘You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To’, ‘Autumn
Leaves’ with upbeat swinging numbers including ‘Time After
Time’, ‘Don’t Worry About Me’, ‘Paper Moon’,
‘Just One of Those Things’ and many more from that jazz-rich
era.
Barbara Baker sings powerful versions of ‘Good Morning Heartache’,
‘My Funny Valentine’ and other tunes, accompanied by the melodic
saxophone of Martin Bond and understated keyboard playing by Pete Pearson.
Carole Moss plays double bass, with Nick Mullan on drums.
The band, based in Bradford / Shipley, West Yorkshire, is available to
play for you, whatever your event or function – private or corporate
- a party, wedding reception, business evening or product launch, conference
reception, club dinner, garden party, fund raiser, etc.
Twelve Bars from Mars helps break the ice and gets your
feet-tapping visitors buzzing and in the right mood.
